Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louis le Brocquy could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Irish Art auction, the work Head changed hands for GBP 21,420.00 (€ 25,149.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis le Brocquy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Travelling Woman With Newspaper in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 741,000.00 (€ 817,072.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis le Brocquy konnte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Head für GBP 21.420,00 (€ 25.149,10) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis le Brocquy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Travelling Woman With Newspaper im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 741.000,00 (€ 817.072,96).
