A top price for Louis le Brocquy - as previously expected
The work Travelling Woman With Newspaper by Louis le Brocquy was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 741,000.00 (€ 817,072.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Travelling Woman With Newspaper is the most expensive artwork by Louis le Brocquy that we have observed at auctions so far.
