Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Dublin held the auction The Irish SaleVision & Voice, which included the work Mycenean Gold Mask, from Seven Aquatints by Louis le Brocquy. The price achieved of EUR 1,152.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis le Brocquy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Travelling Woman With Newspaper in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 741,000.00 (€ 817,072.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Dublin die Auktion The Irish SaleVision & Voice durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mycenean Gold Mask, from Seven Aquatints von Louis le Brocquy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.152,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis le Brocquy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Travelling Woman With Newspaper im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 741.000,00 (€ 817.072,96).
