The work Image of a Revolutionary by Louis le Brocquy was worth GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,840.67) to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis le Brocquy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Travelling Woman With Newspaper in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 741,000.00 (€ 817,072.96).
