Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Monte-Carlo by Louis Icart was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in August 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,701.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis Icart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elegante Et Fillette Au Levrier in March 2009 with an auction result of EUR 19,126.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Monte-Carlo von Louis Icart kam im August 2021 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.701,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Icart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elegante Et Fillette Au Levrier im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.126,00.
