Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples Online Sale, which included the work Leda And The Swan by Louis Icart. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,338.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Icart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elegante Et Fillette Au Levrier in March 2009 with an auction result of EUR 19,126.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Prints & Multiples Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leda And The Swan von Louis Icart zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.338,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Icart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elegante Et Fillette Au Levrier im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.126,00.
