This artwork by Louis Gauffier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in January 2016. In the Master Drawings auction, the work Two Views Of Rome sold for USD 35,000.00 (€ 32,311.67) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Gauffier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ulisse Scopre Achille Tra Le Figlie Di Licomede in December 2009 with an auction result of EUR 504,750.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis Gauffier erzielte im Januar 2016 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Master Drawings wurde die Arbeit Two Views Of Rome für USD 35.000,00 (€ 32.311,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Gauffier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ulisse Scopre Achille Tra Le Figlie Di Licomede im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 504.750,00.
