Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for La Famille Salucci by Louis Gauffier was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The price achieved of USD 1,008.00 (€ 872.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Gauffier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ulisse Scopre Achille Tra Le Figlie Di Licomede in December 2009 with an auction result of EUR 504,750.00.
