Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art, which included the work A View Of The Benedictine Abbey At Vallombrosa by Louis Gauffier. Here, the upper estimate of USD 600,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 601,000.00 (€ 404,959.23). Other works by Louis Gauffier have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 504,750.00 in December 2009 for the work Ulisse Scopre Achille Tra Le Figlie Di Licomede.

Im Januar 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A View Of The Benedictine Abbey At Vallombrosa von Louis Gauffier zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 600.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 601.000,00 (€ 404.959,23) einen neuen Besitzer.
