This work of art by Louis Gauffier could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings auction, the work Portrait Of Elizabeth, Lady Webster, Later Lady Holland, Seated Full-Length, In A White Dress And Feathered Hat, With Her Spaniel Pierrot, On A 'Chaise-Longue,' With A Guitar, In An Interior changed hands for USD 298,000.00 (€ 267,624.61) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300,000.00 – 600,000.00. Other works by Louis Gauffier have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2009 by the work Ulisse Scopre Achille Tra Le Figlie Di Licomede at EUR 504,750.00.
