The work The Art Critic by Louis Charles Moeller was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2015. The result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 54,575.22) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Art Critic is the most expensive artwork by Louis Charles Moeller that we have observed at auctions so far.
