Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louis Charles Moeller could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Spinning Yarns changed hands for USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,676.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Charles Moeller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Art Critic in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 54,575.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis Charles Moeller konnte im September 2010 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Spinning Yarns für USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.676,20) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Charles Moeller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Art Critic im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 54.575,22).
