Upper estimate price exceeded by 28 %.
The work Moonfire, 2014 by Llyn Foulkes was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. It achieved a price of USD 6,375.00 (€ 6,013.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Llyn Foulkes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Last Chance in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 106,513.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Moonfire, 2014 von Llyn Foulkes kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 6.013,02) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Llyn Foulkes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Last Chance im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 106.513,92).
