In the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction, the work Smile Though Your Heart is Breaking, 2014 sold for USD 12,750.00 (€ 12,100.22) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Llyn Foulkes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work My Last Chance in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 106,513.92).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Llyn Foulkes erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Smile Though Your Heart is Breaking, 2014 für USD 12.750,00 (€ 12.100,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Llyn Foulkes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit My Last Chance im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 106.513,92).
