Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Llyn Foulkes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. In the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Small Bloody Head), 2015 sold for USD 10,837.50 (€ 10,285.19) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Llyn Foulkes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Last Chance in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 106,513.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Llyn Foulkes erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Small Bloody Head), 2015 für USD 10.837,50 (€ 10.285,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Llyn Foulkes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Last Chance im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 106.513,92).
