This artwork by Liza Lou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in February 2018. In the New Now auction, the work Cup and Saucer sold for USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,213.00) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liza Lou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Vessel in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 289,250.00 (€ 333,509.79).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Liza Lou erzielte im Februar 2018 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Cup and Saucer für USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.213,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liza Lou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Vessel im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 289.250,00 (€ 333.509,79).
