It achieved a price of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 59,115.78), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 31%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Yanchong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Scholar Brewing Tea After Chou Ying, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 1,562,500.00 (€ 171,971.58).

Die Arbeit Pleasure At The Wilderness von Liu Yanchong kam im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 59.115,78) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 31%. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Yanchong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Scholar Brewing Tea After Chou Ying beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 1.562.500,00 (€ 171.971,58) versteigert wurde.
