In October 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape After Yun Shouping by Liu Yanchong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,520.30), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Liu Yanchong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scholar Brewing Tea After Chou Ying in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,562,500.00 (€ 171,971.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape After Yun Shouping von Liu Yanchong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.520,30) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Yanchong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scholar Brewing Tea After Chou Ying im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.562.500,00 (€ 171.971,58).
