Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Engine No. 5 by Liu Weijian was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in March last year. The price achieved of HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,252.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Weijian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Engine No. 5 in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 29,206.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Engine No. 5 von Liu Weijian kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.252,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Weijian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Engine No. 5 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 29.206,67).
