A top price for Liu Weijian - as previously expected
The work Engine No. 5 by Liu Weijian was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The result of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 29,206.67) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Engine No. 5 is the most expensive artwork by Liu Weijian that we have observed at auctions so far.
