Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Peacock in Spring Haze by Liu Mengkuan. It changed hands for a price of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,577.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Other works by Liu Mengkuan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2018 the work Majestic Landscape of Mount Huang was auctioned for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 36,681.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peacock in Spring Haze von Liu Mengkuan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.577,21) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Liu Mengkuan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2018 die Arbeit Majestic Landscape of Mount Huang für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 36.681,97) versteigert.
