In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Enlightenment under Bodhi by Liu Mengkuan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 201,600.00 (€ 23,934.25), 34% above the upper estimate. Other works by Liu Mengkuan have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 36,681.97) in November 2018 for the work Majestic Landscape of Mount Huang.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Enlightenment under Bodhi von Liu Mengkuan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 201.600,00 (€ 23.934,25) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Liu Mengkuan haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 36.681,97) im November 2018 für die Arbeit Majestic Landscape of Mount Huang beobachtet.
