Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lotus in Splashed-Colour by Liu Mengkuan was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 113,400.00 (€ 13,589.34). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Mengkuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Majestic Landscape of Mount Huang, which sold at auction in November 2018 for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 36,681.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lotus in Splashed-Colour von Liu Mengkuan kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 113.400,00 (€ 13.589,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Mengkuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Majestic Landscape of Mount Huang beobachtet, die im November 2018 für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 36.681,97) versteigert wurde.
