Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Lotus by Liu Mengkuan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 23,940.00 (€ 3,115.16), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Mengkuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Majestic Landscape of Mount Huang in November 2018 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 36,681.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lotus von Liu Mengkuan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 23.940,00 (€ 3.115,16) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Mengkuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Majestic Landscape of Mount Huang im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 36.681,97).
