This artwork by Linda McCartney achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in November 2009. In the Music auction, the work Janis Joplin at the Fillmore East sold for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,462.33) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 900.00. Admittedly, works by Linda McCartney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work My Love, London, 1978 in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,250.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Linda McCartney erzielte im November 2009 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Music wurde die Arbeit Janis Joplin at the Fillmore East für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.462,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 900,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Linda McCartney auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit My Love, London, 1978 im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.250,84).
