Auction result well in line with expectations
The work B.B. King by Linda McCartney was auctioned at Phillips in London in November 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 750.00 (€ 820.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Linda McCartney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Love, London, 1978 in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,250.84).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 820,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
