Auction result well in line with expectations
The work B.B. King by Linda McCartney was auctioned at Phillips in London in November 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 750.00 (€ 820.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Linda McCartney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Love, London, 1978 in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,250.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit B.B. King von Linda McCartney kam im November 2009 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 820,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Linda McCartney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Love, London, 1978 im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.250,84).
