Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work 'Golden Fox, Blue Fox, Marilyn Ambrose, Harper's Bazaar, New York Boa by Frederica by Lillian Bassman. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,080.00 (€ 4,806.96). Admittedly, works by Lillian Bassman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Across the Restaurant, Barbara Mullen, dress by Jacques Fath, Le Grand Vefour, Paris in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 43,702.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Golden Fox, Blue Fox, Marilyn Ambrose, Harper's Bazaar, New York Boa by Frederica von Lillian Bassman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.080,00 (€ 4.806,96) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lillian Bassman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Across the Restaurant, Barbara Mullen, dress by Jacques Fath, Le Grand Vefour, Paris im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 43.702,47).
