Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Times Square: The Night Fantastic by Lillian Bassman was sold in the Photographs auction at Bonhams in London in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,816.00 (€ 2,664.65). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lillian Bassman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Across the Restaurant, Barbara Mullen, dress by Jacques Fath, Le Grand Vefour, Paris in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 43,702.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Times Square: The Night Fantastic von Lillian Bassman wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.816,00 (€ 2.664,65) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lillian Bassman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Across the Restaurant, Barbara Mullen, dress by Jacques Fath, Le Grand Vefour, Paris im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 43.702,47).
