Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Strolling Up the Mountain by Li Jian was sold in the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in September last year. The price achieved of HKD 18,900.00 (€ 2,459.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Jian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boating Alone in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 38,266.56).
