The work Couplet Calligraphy by Li Jian was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. The auction ended at the price of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,273.92), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Jian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boating Alone in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 38,266.56).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Couplet Calligraphy von Li Jian kam im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.273,92) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Jian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boating Alone im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 38.266,56).
