Auction result well in line with expectations
In August this year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Asian Art including Paintings from the Wong Family Collection, which included the work Landscape by Li Jian. It changed hands for a price of AUD 7,380.00 (€ 4,403.90) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Jian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boating Alone in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 38,266.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Asian Art including Paintings from the Wong Family Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Li Jian zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 7.380,00 (€ 4.403,90) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Jian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boating Alone im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 38.266,56).
