In December 2021 Christies held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center, which included the work Calligraphy in Running Script by Li Jian. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,398.13), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Jian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boating Alone in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 38,266.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Li Jian zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.398,13) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Jian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boating Alone im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 38.266,56).
