This artwork by Li Jian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Poem in Cursive Script sold for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,947.45) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Jian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boating Alone, which sold at auction in November 2011 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 38,266.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Jian erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Poem in Cursive Script für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.947,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Jian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Boating Alone beobachtet, die im November 2011 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 38.266,56) versteigert wurde.
