In May 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Four Poems in Running Script by Li Jian. The auction ended at the price of HKD 15,000.00 (€ 1,716.75), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Jian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boating Alone in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 38,266.56).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four Poems in Running Script von Li Jian zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 15.000,00 (€ 1.716,75) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Jian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boating Alone im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 38.266,56).
