Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work In The Spirit Of The Big Dipper by Li Huayi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 5,500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 5,935,000.00 (€ 678,361.72). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Huayi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Forever Young, which sold at auction in April last year for HKD 12,475,000.00 (€ 1,508,318.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit In The Spirit Of The Big Dipper von Li Huayi kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 5.500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 5.935.000,00 (€ 678.361,72) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Huayi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Forever Young beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für HKD 12.475.000,00 (€ 1.508.318,31) versteigert wurde.
