Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hollyhock, Cassia, And Rock by Li Fangying was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,630.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Fangying achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 461,000.00 (€ 365,061.77).
