Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Bamboo by Li Fangying. The price achieved of HKD 562,500.00 (€ 55,782.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Fangying have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 461,000.00 (€ 365,061.77).
