Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Li Fangying achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2013. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal auction, the work Day-Lily sold for USD 137,000.00 (€ 101,219.06) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Fangying - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers, which sold at auction in September 2014 for USD 461,000.00 (€ 365,061.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Fangying erzielte im September 2013 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal wurde die Arbeit Day-Lily für USD 137.000,00 (€ 101.219,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Fangying mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers beobachtet, die im September 2014 für USD 461.000,00 (€ 365.061,77) versteigert wurde.
