A top price for Li Fangying
This artwork by Li Fangying achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2014. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Flowers sold for USD 461,000.00 (€ 365,061.77) - well above the upper estimate of USD 160,000.00. This high result makes Flowers the most expensive artwork by Li Fangying that we have observed at auctions so far.
