This artwork by Li Fangying achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Fish sold for HKD 108,000.00 (€ 10,283.80) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Fangying achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 461,000.00 (€ 365,061.77).
