Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spiritual Journey Through the Great Ether I by Li Chen was sold in the Modern Discoveries | Rare & Limited auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July last year. The price achieved of HKD 50,400.00 (€ 6,288.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Chen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dragon-Riding Buddha (Executed In 2001) in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 17,975,000.00 (€ 1,924,505.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spiritual Journey Through the Great Ether I von Li Chen wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Discoveries | Rare & Limited bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.400,00 (€ 6.288,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Chen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dragon-Riding Buddha (Executed In 2001) im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.975.000,00 (€ 1.924.505,40).
