Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work Russian Artist'S Triptych by Leonid Purygin for USD 35,000.00 (€ 26,427.06). This price was achieved in the auction Russian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonid Purygin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Babylon Tower, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 56,900.00 (€ 79,674.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Russian Artist'S Triptych von Leonid Purygin für USD 35.000,00 (€ 26.427,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Russian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonid Purygin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Babylon Tower beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 56.900,00 (€ 79.674,72) versteigert wurde.
