In November 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work Adam And Eve In Paradise by Leonid Purygin. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,510.96) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leonid Purygin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Babylon Tower in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 56,900.00 (€ 79,674.72).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Adam And Eve In Paradise von Leonid Purygin zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.510,96) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonid Purygin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Babylon Tower im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.900,00 (€ 79.674,72).
