Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints, which included the work Rocky cove; Wooded landscape; Magenta mountains; The little estuary; Autumnal breeze; and Bullrushes blowing in the wind by Leonid Baikov. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 312.00 (€ 459.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonid Baikov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two steam boats; The quay at sunset; Crossing the river; Departing from the dock; Mending the boat; and On the banks of the river, which sold at auction in April 2007 for GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,581.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rocky cove; Wooded landscape; Magenta mountains; The little estuary; Autumnal breeze; and Bullrushes blowing in the wind von Leonid Baikov zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 312,00 (€ 459,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonid Baikov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two steam boats; The quay at sunset; Crossing the river; Departing from the dock; Mending the boat; and On the banks of the river beobachtet, die im April 2007 für GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.581,26) versteigert wurde.
