In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints, which included the work Eight head studies of young boys by Leonid Baikov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 840.00 (€ 1,236.12), 68% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Leonid Baikov; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Two steam boats; The quay at sunset; Crossing the river; Departing from the dock; Mending the boat; and On the banks of the river sold at auction in April 2007 with the realized price of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,581.26).

Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eight head studies of young boys von Leonid Baikov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.236,12) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Leonid Baikov; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Two steam boats; The quay at sunset; Crossing the river; Departing from the dock; Mending the boat; and On the banks of the river im April 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.581,26).
