This artwork by Leo Eland achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in September 2007. In the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work Indonesian Landscape At Sunset sold for EUR 3,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,600.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Leo Eland; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House sold at auction in March 2013 with the realized price of EUR 5,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Leo Eland erzielte im September 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours wurde die Arbeit Indonesian Landscape At Sunset für EUR 3.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.600,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Leo Eland; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House im März 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 5.000,00.
