Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Apache by Leon Shulman Gaspard. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,276.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Shulman Gaspard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Finish of the Kermesse in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,001,000.00 (€ 1,362,336.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Apache von Leon Shulman Gaspard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 47.276,85) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leon Shulman Gaspard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Finish of the Kermesse im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.001.000,00 (€ 1.362.336,60).
