Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work French sleep, Baby, Sleep by Léon Perrault for USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,355.01). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Perrault achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Out In The Cold in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 206,500.00 (€ 155,239.81).
