Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French nymphe Des Eaux by Léon Perrault was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,236.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Perrault achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Out In The Cold in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 206,500.00 (€ 155,239.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit French nymphe Des Eaux von Léon Perrault kam im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.236,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Perrault erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Out In The Cold im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 155.239,81).
