In May 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Art, which included the work French Fast Asleep by Léon Perrault. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,422.45) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Léon Perrault have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French Out In The Cold in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 206,500.00 (€ 155,239.81).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit French Fast Asleep von Léon Perrault zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 21.422,45) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Léon Perrault auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French Out In The Cold im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 155.239,81).
